It’s a desert walk that I will remember for a long time - it has to be up there with the best walks in the world.

NSW

It was in hot, humid and wet . ...Tarro's Ladder is  a rather frightening descent down an iron spiked cliff face....
A delightful walk and overnight camp by the ocean in Royal National Park.

Tasmania

Throughout this walk, the surrounding mountains offer great climbing opportunities and the impression that you are centre stage in a grand arena.

Quamby Bluff. What a delightful mountain this is... On the way up there are mountain peppers to harvest.

A hard and visually spectacular walk, views are earned and rewarded here.

This walk has got it all: beach, mountain, mud, waterfalls, bush, wildly varying weather and very few people.

We covered a magnificent part of Tasmania, traveling via an unusual route. We could easily see why it is a region listed for world heritage.

Inside the walls, the area was engulfed in cloud and the rain was pummeling my face with great fury... Does one cry ? My ego says grown men don't, but I sure came close.

Victoria

This takes us across the Victoria / NSW border. Beach scenery, inland lake and huge sand dunes.

In some heavily forested sections of track in Victoria where it is difficult to navigate... Arriving at Mushroom rocks was a real pleasure with the bushes in full bloom.

With some inviting features such as The Crosscut Saw, Mt Buggary, Horrible gap, Mount Despair and The Viking this is not an easy hike.

Canada

On the (sightseeing) hunt for bison.

Standing out boldly for all to see is the Chief. It's there to climb and walk up.

A famous pioneer route for those who chased gold in Canada, making their way over a challenging pass into the Yukon.

Japan

The Kumano Koda trail is a UNESCO listed heritage walk, one of only two in the world, For over 1000 years, people from all levels of society, including retired emperors and aristocrats, have made the arduous pilgrimage to the sacred sites in Kumano.

Nepal

Sweeping rural views, high himalayan mountains. Treks following Manaslu, Annapurna, Nar and phu trails as well as a side trip to Lake Tilicho.

As we rise, the vegetation gives way to stunning views of the mountains. Some of the rhododendrons are still around though, to embellish the mountain vista.

New Zealand

A 'Great Walk', this area is gorgeous. We have been rewarded with great weather and some of the best scenery I have seen.

The Routeburn track includes a spectacular crossing of New Zealand's Southern Alps and takes you through the incredible landscapes of Mt Aspiring and Fiordland National Parks.

A wonderful week of walking in the Greenstone and Caples river valley.
