Nestled on the line between Mt Bogong and Mt Feathertop, Fainter North and
South offer fantastic venue for back country skiing and snow camping
This trip was from Mt Stirling to Craig's hut via the Clear Hills track.
Craig's hut was the set for the 1982 film The Man from Snowy River.

The range around Mt Kosciuszko is nothing short of awesome in its winter garb
especially with the blue bird days we had.
Last year we had huge amounts of snow that allowed us to ski well into
November. This year the snow was a bit wetter and not so generous with its
cover, however we were still rewarded with lots to play on and a great few
days away.
New Zealand
We hire a place in Wanaka in the South Island as a base station and we skied
the commercial resorts viz: Treble Cone, Cardrona and Snow farm.
Looking at the mountain above and recalling the mountains in Australia that I
am used to skiing on in Australia; you might understand that little old Stuart
was somewhat intimidated.
Japan
It was been a dream of mine to visit Japan. The intrigue of its culture and
the magic of its powder snow. Conjure those thoughts of traditional dress, tea
ceremonies and old guest houses partially buried in snow.
Mt Fuji, yes you can ski on it. It has a resort for families. The slopes are
not steep which suited my daughter's skill level. The Mt Fuji backdrop is a
nice bonus.
